Almost every tech enthusiast and evangelist out there was holding their breath till the streaming of Apple’s ‘Time Flies’ event concluded yesterday. Yes, the anxiousness about this event was justified, as every Apple event embarks on innovation and futuristic developments. Last time, WWDC 2020 (Worldwide Developers Conference) was also loaded with some amazing features like iOS 14 (A major update), Digital car key, MacOS Big Sur, TV OS, and WatchOS updates.

On the same lines, the expectations for the ‘Time Flies event’ were also very high. And as expected before any major tech event, many rumors were doing the round this time as well. But now, the event has been concluded and now all the updates are in the public domain. 

So here is a glimpse of all that happened at the event. The detail will encircle 8 biggest announcements that can reshape the future of Apple’s technology landscape.

  • New Apple Watch Series has Blood Oxygen monitoring 

Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 6 with an inbuilt health sensor and it can measure the blood oxygen level saturation. The series 6 is also powered by a new S6 chip, which is a dual-core processor based on the A13 Bionic in the iPhone 11.

It features a screen with 2.5 times brighter outdoors and also has an always-on altimeter. And with multiple watch faces, it also includes a watch face that shows a Memo. 

A new type of wrist band called Solo Loop has also been launched with a stretchable silicone loop with no clasp. 

  • Apple Watch SE 

This time apple debuted with a lower-priced Apple Watch called the Apple Watch SE. It has the same set of features as Series 6, like a built-in accelerometer, gyroscope, always-on altimeter, and fall detection, and amazingly . Different from the Series 6 which is capable of generating an ECG similar to a single-lead electrocardiogram, it is powered with the S5 chip used in the Series 5 model last year.

  • Apple Watches without USB power adapter in the box 

You will not get a USB power adapter with the Apple watches next time. This move comes from the commitment of Apple to help reduce its environmental impact. This move was expected to come with the upcoming iPhones, but the company officially made the move with the Apple Watch. 

  • Family set up to manage multiple Apple Watches from One iPhone

A new Family Set-up has been announced to empower you to manage multiple Apple Watches from a single iPhone. This feature requires a cellular connection to work and it can be accessed with Series 4 devices or newer.  

  • Updated Eight-Generation iPad with a new processor but a familiar design

Apple announced a new eighth-generation iPad that has the same design as its predecessor with the big top and bottom bezels and a Touch ID button on the front. When it comes to update, it has updated the internals, as it now comes with an A12 bionic chip. 

  • A Fitness Subscription called Fitness Plus 

With the ‘Time Flies’ event, Apple is launching a premium subscription service called Fitness Plus. However, it is built and customized especially for the Apple Watch. But it easily integrates with iPhones, iPads, and the Apple TV as well. This service comes with 10 different workout types, including cycling, yoga, and dance, and new workouts will be added every week. 

The fitness lovers have to wait with bated breath for the end of the year to see it launched. 

  • One Subscription incircles multiple services together 

Apple announced a new ‘Apple One’ subscription that brings together many of the company’s services at different price tiers. The premium bundle adds Apple News Plus, Fitness Plus, and 2 TB of iCloud storage, and can be shared up to six people. 

  • iOS 14, iPados 14, WatchOS7, and more updates will be live from today

It includes iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14. All the new hardware products will have new software on-board.
